December 2010 Shanghai – For five years now, the German Centre Shanghai has been helping German companies gain a foothold in the emerging Chinese market. Well over a hundred firms, mostly middle-market companies, have been using the Centre, located since its opening in late autumn of 2005 in the financial district of Pudong, as a launch pad for their mission in China. Demand for the Centre’s services was high from the start: the entire 33,000 square metres of office space has been occupied since the beginning of 2007 virtually seamlessly.
